Generic Anafranil belongs to the class of medicine known as tricyclic anti-depressant. It is used treat obsessive-compulsive disorder and thus reduces the obsessive-compulsive behaviour. This generic medicine functions by increasing the activity of serotonin, a chemical found in the brain.
