Avelox is a solid dosage form which is administered by oral route. The maximum recommends a dose of this medicine is 400mg single dose in a 24hours.the therapy of this antibiotic depends upon the bacterial infection.

  • For acute bacterial sinusitis infection-400mg single dose in 24 hours for 10 days
  • For chronic bronchitis-400mg single dose in 24 hours for 5 days
  • For pneumonia infection- 400mg single dose in 24 hours for 7 to 14days
  • For uncomplicated skin infection- 400mg single dose in 24 hours for 7days
  • For complicated skin infection- 400 mg single doses in 24 hours for 7 to 21 days.
  • For stomach infection- 400 mg single doses in 24 hours for 5 to 14 days.

Missed Dose of Avelox

 If you missed your dose then please take it as soon as possible but if you are near the next dose than skipped it and take the regular dose as per schedule and avoided the double dose of this medicine.

Overdose of Avelox

Overdose of this antibiotic may produce lethal effects to your health so please avoid it. So please inform to your doctor immediately about overdose.
