What is Combigan eye drop? How it works?

Combigan eye drop is the fine combination of two different medicines i.e. brimonidine, an alpha agonist and Timolol, a beta-blocker. Both these medicines help to decrease raised pressure within the eye and works to provide relief to the patient. Brimonidine shows healing effect by reducing the inflow of aqueous humour into the eyeball, and in this way the helps to lessen the pressure within the eye. The other ingredient, Timolol also blocks the beta receptors in the eye and helps to decrease the quantity of aqueous humour produced. In this way both ingredients works simultaneously to provide relief to the patient.
