Eryc is an antibiotic drug used to lessen the development of drug resistant bacteria and maintain the efficacy of the drug. Eryc is used to prevent from the infection caused by bacteria. It can also be recommend to cure rheumatic fever.

Dose of administration

The dose of a drug decided according to the age, disease condition and other medication. The recommended dose of Eryc is one tablet in every 6hours. Take this drug with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break the tablet, directly swallow with plain water. Follow the course of drug for not more than 7-10days because it causes resistant to the bacteria causes infection. Do not stop the course in between because it may worsen the infection.

Missed dose

Do not miss the regular schedule of medicine because it may increase the chance to further spread of infection. but if you forget to take your regular dose in case then take it as soon as you remember but if it just time for the next regular dose then skip the missed dose and follow your regular schedule. But do not take a double dose to make up the missed dose.

Overdose

Overdose of any drug may cause some serious side effect. Do not try to take an overdose or extra dose of any drug to get better results. If you have taken an overdose of any medicine seek immediate medical help before the condition gets worsen.

Eryc is an orally administered drug used as an antibiotic against bacterial infection. It contains erythromycin as an active ingredient. Erythromycin shows its antibacterial action by binding with the 50S ribosomal subunit of the organism and inhibits formation of peptide bonds and synthesis of protein within the cell. Erythromycin belongs to the family of macrolide antibiotics. It acts by reducing the growth or sometimes acts by killing bacteria that causes infection.  Erythromycin is used to cure acute bacterial infection. Children can also use this drug unlike other antibiotics.

Indications

Erythromycin is indicated for the management of infection caused by bacteria. it is used for the treatment of urinary tract infection, lower respiratory tract infection, whooping cough, Diphtheria, Legionnaris Disease, skin infection, tissue infection, erythraemia, acne vulgaris, syphilis, chlamydia, prophylaxis, 

Contraindication

Contraindication is the specific situation in which a particular drug or treatment is not recommended. The condition is which the erythromycin is prohibited are

  • Patient who is allergic to erythromycin and other ingredient of Eryc.
  • Patient having liver disorder, myasthenia gravis, abnormal heart rate.
  • Patient has hereditary problem.
  • Patient is having other skin disorder.

When two or more drugs are administered together they may interact with the activity of each other. This interaction is may increase, decrease or sometimes alters the effect of parent drug which is harmful to the patient. The drugs that interacts with the activity of erythromycin are
