Novolizer dry powder inhalation device is a dry powder inhaler used in the respiratory diseases. This device is quit safe to use as it do not contain CFC propellant in it. It is very useful for those patients who suffer from asthma and other respiratory tract infection. Medicine present in the device help in resolving asthma attack and thus allow easy breathing. Rotating machine keeps this device free from lactose particles. The free particles of the medicine, thus, get inhaled into the lungs. Hence the patient feels relaxed. The patient should always clean the device especially when the cartridge is changed.

Novolizer dry powder inhalation device should be kept at room temperature that ranges from 15-30 degree centigrade. It should be kept away from moisture and heat.

Mechanism of action:

Novolizer dry powder inhalation device is a multi-dose, refillable device. This is an environment friendly and is breath activated device. The device prevents the patient from inhaling dangerous and harmful chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) gases. The dry powder is released from the lactose particle and is inhaled into the lungs.

Method to use:

First keep the powder inhaler in the front and press the shallow surfaces on both sides of the lid gently, then move forwards the lid lifting off. Always remove the protective film from the box of the cartridge and get the new cartridge just prior to using using the cartridge. Complete by putting the lid back into the side guides from up and push down towards the button till it fits into place. Your NOVOLIZER is now filled with the material and ready for use. Always keep the cartridge horizontal while using the novolizer.

  • Remove the cap pressing gently at the sides together.
  • Slid the cap forwards to the direction of the arrow to remove.
  • Push down on the red button hard till you hear a click sound.
  • The control window will change the colour from red to green.
  • Then you should release the red button.
  • The green colour in the window means that your NOVOLIZER is now ready to use.
  • Take a deep breathe, but not into the powder inhaler.
  • Keep your lips around the mouthpiece and then inhale the powder taking a deep breath.
  • You should hear a click sound while you are breathing which will indicate that you have achieved an adequate amount of force for a proper inhalation.
  • Continue the inhalation as deep as possible.
  • After that, hold your breath for few second.
  • Then exhale through your nose slowly.
  • Clean your novolizer after each use, at least when you change the cartridge


Novolizer dry powder inhalation device is used to provide relief from asthma.

Based on the requirement of the patient and condition of the asthma attack, the dose is recommended by the doctor to the patient. Hence, the patient should always follow the dose as suggested by the doctor.


Missed dose:

In case of missing dose, the patient should consult to the doctor.



If overdose of the medicine is suspected, then the patient should always consult to their medical advisor.



  • The patient should clean this device using cloth and not with water or detergent. 
  • Nursing mother and pregnant patient should avoid using this device. 
  • The patient should not share this device with any other person shoeing similar symptoms as that of the user.
